Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): Intoxicating perfume, utterly decadent, overripe stone and citrus fruit, some floral notes, fresh marmelade, grape-y, apricot and peach notes, botrytis notes Palate following the nose pattern, full body, high acidity, mineral, highly bitter with bergamot/bitter orange peel concentrate, weirdly enough - and sadly I might add - cuts rather short. Impressive in the nose, the palate is not up to par, very aggressive price for what it is. Unless it needs time

Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): Almost dry, but with a serious hit of botrytis, giving this a spicy note that is lychee adjacent. I'll admit it feels a little weird to have a botrytised chenin fermented to almost dryness, but it actually works pretty well. Quite good, but the price is a bit of a hurdle here.

Extremely balanced between ripe fruit, botrytis, power and elegant acidity, fruit and stone notes. Very impressive and already drinking so well
