This is fully developed and probably a few years past its prime. There's a classic red fruit base here with cooked tomato, thyme, and wood smoke rounding out the aromatic profile. A bit more vigor and articulation were probably present a few years back.

Deep rich colour, ruby and rust. Crushed herb, mustard weed spice, plump ripe fruits, pepper, tar, licorice. Lush, rich, nicely balanced, smooth, ling tasty finish. Rich, ripe fruits, tar and earth, lovely aged fruits, iron filings, blood, great complexity but with still some freshness. Delicious.

Youthful and dark, ruby red rim. Rich ripe dark berries, hint of earth, light oak spice, licorice zest. Medium weight, fleshy, refined style. Soft very fine tannins and good acidity. Dark berries dominate, youthful intensity, delicious earthy complexity without much if any of the usual gamey notes. Drinking beautifully and has a decade ahead.

Had for wife’s 40th on NYE. Muted on nose and palate for about 20 minutes. Tons of sediment (in large flakes). Fortunately cork held up upon opening.
After about 30 minutes, paired with flank steak... was outstanding. Perfect old-world style, fully balanced and came alive with the beef. Subtle Carmel and vanilla along with blueberry and blackberry. Delicious wine, was a treat. Drink now.
