Community Tasting Notes (5) Avg Score: 90.3 points

  • Medium gold.
Predominantly stone fruits nose/palate (apricot/peach) with mango and a hint of sherbet.
    Medium body/finish. 13.5% abv.
Blend of traditional Alentejo grape varieties (not sure which ones!)
Good wine which gives the impression that it should drink well for at least 3/4 years.

  • Bright yellow colored. The nose boasts rich pears, yellow apples, limes, with complex tones of shaved ginger, white tea, almond skin, breadcrumbs, and honey. The palate shows pleasantly plump texture with tangy acidity, a balanced appeal, with flavors of honeydew, pears, orange slices, and guava. There’s a nice salty mineral kick that accents the fruit, and I get tones of white pepper, honeycomb, almond, and some floral potpourri elements. Flinty, salty, vibrant, this is an easy six-pack buy for Spring and Summer cooking and warm weather. A blend of Antao Vaz, Arinto, and Roupeiro, fermented and aged in stainless steel and 25% new American and French oak.

  • A very enjoyable white wine. Tropical notes and peach on the nose. Smoothly filling the palate adding buttery flavours which persist for quite a while. A hint of bitterness at the finish, like other Iberian whites. The kind of finish that makes you try one more sip. Definitely a wine I will look out for again.

  • Beaucoup de chene dans l’élevage donné un vin très nourri et plein de gras. Long en boucbe. Supporté par une structure et un beau fruite. Seul bémol, un peu de chauffe/amertume perçue à l’occasion.

  • These Alentejo whites are very seductive. Lovely salinity and freshness on the nose and palate, dominated by apricot and crisp green apple. Good mineral acidity carrying onto the medium, mouth watering finish.
