Decanted half hour just to let wine open & profile settle. Upon decanting tart cherry aroma w/soft acidity. Initial pour showed light leather nose w/solid legs w/pleasant cranberry color. Flavor of tart berries, plums w/balanced oak finish. Exceptional with Lamb Ragu over Bucatini

Light peppery red with good concentration and acidity, even some nutmeg amid the black pepper notes. Short finish cut further by firm tannins, although not a wine that has the depth/substance to age. Great for pizza, ideally tonight.

Of the Etna deep dive i just completed, this was the best straight rosso of the lot. A touch of green on the pop, but this dissipated and what was left was a bright raspberry, herb, ash, and fresh medium bodied wine. Very nice and nice mineral finish. Honestly a bit of this would probably have balanced out a lot of single vineyard Etna wines to their benefit

Transparent, mid-weight, yet rounded texture. Raspberry, macchia, and minerality. Youthful tannins, medium acidity, high delicious factor. Lifted impression, accessible.
Should do well with a few years of age. Hard to describe this exactly, but a cross between Nebbiolo and Pinot is an apt, if imprecise, description.
