  • Passed it optimum time, lost a lot of it's fruits but after 2hrs in the decanter it prove to be a very good first wine to start a long dinner.

  • First time with this producer. Spent some time with this one and it evolved nicely. Aromatics had a slight fig preserve thing going on, like a fig newton. Baked goods? Definitely not. The palate is subtly complex with baking spices, dried currants, and rosemary. Acid is good. The tannins are dusty at first, evolving into a more powerful grip as it fleshes out. Medium bodied. Maybe some leathery, barnyardy evolution on the nose as it opens as well. It definitely changed throughout the drinking experience. Maybe 88 is a bit restrained, but there were some times when I felt I didn't love this wine, then it changed? Definitely in an interesting place.

  • Aromatic, nut, leather, mineral, dried currant, mushroom and smoked meat nose. Rounded flavours with balanced acid and tannins; good finish. Evolving but still has a life ahead of it.
