Final bottle. Immediately after opening, this seemed just too old, flabby and without the required grip and freshness, but with the tell-tale fruit of dried yellow apple. After 24 hours in the fridge it seems to have recharged its batteries, looks much less tired, and has developed the nuances of honey and spice noted before. A nice surprise, but it is a good thing that I have none left.

As noted in my TN from February 2014, this is now on a very gradual slide down the hill. This does not mean that the wine is necessarily losing interest; it is developing some spicy, estery, honeyed aromas and flavours that give a nice, new, tertiary complexity.

Fully mature, still attractive but the lemon fruit is starting to fade and this is laying bare the oak; energy is getting slightly low, time to finish this off.

Has evolved into a lovely, complete and stylish Meursault PC, oaky and mealy, lemony fruit and a floral touch, harmonious, adequate acidity and length; elegant and cool rather than weighty and rich but nicely fleshy, completely ready.

Mealy, not very big or concentrated but elegant and energetic, well-judged oak that can integrate just a bit more, hint of honey, good intensity, playful, has grip, nice acidity and length. Now - 2014/16.
