Showing very well. Everything you'd expect in an aged Barolo. Lovely tobacco and iron notes, fruit still lively, well structured with a long finish. Last bottle, and no point in holding these any longer, but a pleasure to drink.

Oxidized. My second and last bottle of this epic wine when it's on. It's pretty clear that this would have been a fantastic Barolo if the bottle was pristine. I bought two bottles about 2 years ago and both were oxidized... probably due to poor storage at some point in their long lives... This sucks!

Tasting at home. The cork broke when I opened the bottle. Unfortunately the wine was pretty oxidized. Nevertheless, I was impossible to miss the sheer class and structure of this top-notch Barolo underneath. I have one more bottle.... so I'm really hoping that that one is showing better.

This is an amazing wine. My wife and I drank this wine 10/24/2015. The wine then was 33 years old and stored in the cellars of the best Italian Restaurant in Philadelphia (La Famiglia). The label was clean, clear with no evidence of damage. The cork extracted without difficulty. The color was ruby red and clear. At first there was no bouquet but after about 30 minutes in the decanter the wine developed a pronounced floral/alcohol bouquet. The flavor was very nicely balanced. The tannins were present but not obtrusive. The wine had a distinct, well balanced fruity character with no off flavors. I have had many good Barolos; this is one of the best.
