Chocolate, roasted coffee beans, dust, blackberry, cranberry, some resinous underbrush and, after an hour of air, slight cinnamon. I like the balance of plush/sharp tannins. I'm going to enjoy my magnum of this next year. Granted, I like my wines older than most people, so you should probably drink 'em if you got 'em.

PNP; Nose of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, blackberry, boysenberry, very nice. Palate is a little tight, low acid, med plus body, sharp tannins, a little hot. Probably needs air.
Re-corked and drank the following night. Nose is still stunning, same notes but more refined, and a hint of licorice coming through as well. The heat dissipated, tannins are still a little sharp but drinks nice enough. I think this still has some time if you want to hold onto it a while longer, but drinking well now. A little decan't will help with the heat but I didn't notice a huge change with extra air.

Drank with prime rib after three hour decant. Same profile as previous note, but nose opened up with the additional air this time.
