Clear, deep ruby color. Clean nose of medium plus intensity with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, stewed fruit, toast, earth, mushrooms. Wine is developing. On the palate it is off-dry, medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium body pronounced flavor intensity of liquoirice, blackcurrant, prunes, nutmeg, earth. Finish is medium. Good wine, drink now or can be aged further. Ok body, Ok intensity, length and complexity are lacking. Very similar to Caymus: typical Napa Floor Cab.

Disappointing after some very nice wines from prior vintages. Granted 2011 was a tough year, but other Napa wineries were able to produce some pretty good wines. I agree with others that it wasn't worth the $88 purchase price.

A very nice but typical Raymond-style Napa Valley Cab — i.e., drinking well now but very soft and not much in the way of tannin. Will not be a keeper. I suspect much of the fruit came from the Rutherford area. The wine comes in a very heavy bottle with an etched label, but that doesn't make it worth the $80+ it goes for.
