  Pale intensity, garnet red, no legs; Clean, medium plus intensity, primary raspberry, secondary vanilla oak hint with chocolate and cloves, tertiary meatiness, earth and mushrooms; Dry, high acidity, medium plus chalky tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavour intensity, primary raspberry, secondary vanilla oak hint with chocolate and cloves, tertiary meatiness, earth and mushrooms and dustiness, medium plus finish; outstanding - balance between acidity, alcohol and tannins, medium flavour intensity, complex primary, secondary and tertiary aromas, medium plus length, varietal typicity for Pinot Noir; Ready to drink but will age, likely to develop more tertiary notes. 92/100

  Well made - Garnet with a hint of browning to a clear rim. Opened and followed for several hours. Really have to work to get anything out of the nose, distant strawberry liqueur. Plenty of fruit, cherry and strawberry with a nice sous bois element. A bit narrow but with good concentration and finish in a delicate sort of way. Overpowered by poulet grilles with a sauce diable ala Julia Child, but better on its own. A bit of a contemplative wine, there's nuance if you take the time.

  Cherries, chocolate, red currant, hints of vanilla, and some animal notes. Still fresh and significant levels of fruit left.
