  • 2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): The age of this White Port isn't known, but it has aged for several decades in the old warehouses of the Quinta. In 1972, the Great Grandfather zeroed out this wine with the IVP so they could only bottle it after getting special permission to bottle and label it as an Old Family White Port. With an amber-yellow hue, it offers delightful aromas of dried fruits and light tropical notes. The initial entry is intense, featuring lively acidity and some heat. On the palate, there are pleasant notes of maple and orange spice. This is a complex wine that is rich and wonderful to drink. However, it finishes slightly hot, which detracts a little from the overall quality. It is, however, still a solid, pleasant wine.
