  This wine has improved with age. After a brief decant, it had a really big nose of dark fruit and cedar, the wine has excellent fruit, smooth tannins and a long tasty finish. In prime drinking window.

  Really good yummy Factor here. Rich ripe red fruits with nice zip and smooth structure in a wonderful place, drink or hold, but not likely to improve.

  A wine with a great showy nose of sweet boisenberry, but a palate that is less weighty and more driven by acids and tannins. Still, a good wine, but inticing aromas clearly better that the rustic texture and on the palate. Dry and somewhat bristly finish detracts from then fine yet slightly faded fruit. No rush to drink, but no reason to expect any upside.

  The last Futo bottling in the cellar...one of those one and done mailing list starts for me...not because of quality, just went other ways. Last bottle about 3 years ago...it still continues to please! Dark cherry, red plum, wild berry fruit...little sweet and soured, liqueured...showing more sour skin then before. Silky smooth and mouth coating with goodness...dusty dry tannins are still quite firm and spicy...love the graphite powder and charcoal in this! Wonderful wood use here...spicy cedary oak barrel, cocoa brownie softness...with a little hint of green of tobacco leaf and dried bayleaf. Holding very well. 05's are killing it right now!
