Burgundy Tasting (Restaurant Schweitzer's, Stuttgart): Glass: Zalto Burgundy Clear, deep ruby. Bold nose, cooked, ripe fruit, some animal notes, spices, green notes. On the palate very concentrated, deep and fruity. Some earthy notes, green stems. Power, good length. Could not keep up with the sexy Mugneret. 91

Very tight and unyielding upon an unfortunate pop & pour, but the impressive structure and deep fruit eventually could be identified. Should perform much better with a proper decant.

Seemed a little too advanced in age for a 2006 grand cru. This bottle seemed to be slightly passed its peak
