I've always been a fan of Casa Silva's wine following the recommendation of a chilean oenologist contact back in 2001. I've mainly had their Carmeneres, Shiraz and Cabs so was looking forward to this Petit Verdot, but I was left disappointed. Perhaps it was too young, perhaps I should have decanted it but I just thought it was a bit bland. None of the ripe juicy fruit of the Lolol Shiraz that I'd previously enjoyed or the creaminess of the Carmenere. Definitely a "could do better" on the report card, especially as it was over £12 a bottle!
