On the nose: dusty leather and dried cocoa. In the glass: medium violet color On the palate: graphite attack with acids on the edge, fading to dried plum and fig. medium length finish with coca cola notes.

After decanting an hour this was light in color and somewhat reserved nose, but that is where the adjectives light and reserved end. Full bodied, with dark berries (mostly cherry) and with just a hint of tartness and finishes with finely balanced acidity and tannins accompanied by some chest warming heat. Perfect for a cold Nebraska night.

White chocolate, saddle leather, a touch of manure/wet soil and spicy blackberry, plummy; Real mocha-espresso in the mouth, with a little orange clove. Complex, with 16.7% alc.! Vines from 1929. Best hi-octane wine I've had in a long time.
