The 2007 Cap de Faugeres presents a lovely deep ruby core and subtle aromas of dried cherries, violets and eucalyptus. It is medium to full bodied and possesses a rich texture along with enticing aromas of cassis, vanilla and dark chocolate. While the finish is somewhat subdued this is great value and undoubtedly a wonderful, ready-to-drink wine. To be enjoyed over the next 5 years.

Rather on the light side, still quite fruit driven, this is a good and reasonably priced introduction to Bordeaux. Not spectacular but typical Bordeaux.

Bottled for Mosimann's - present from member. Popped and poured, up front aroma of smokey ripe plum, hint of liquorice. Flavour: plum again with a background of red capsicum and soft fruit acids holding this together. Medium length and body. Perfect everyday Bordeaux. Drink by end of 2014. Worth decanting to remove significant sediment.

Deep garnet color, restrained nose but rich, dark cherry and red raspberry on the initial taste. Apparent but soft tannins, thins out to a medium/short finish. More new world than old which is what I prefer. Great value.
