Apricot and Pineapple on the nose, with some oxidation - I think this might be deliberate as the cork was sound - and no malolactic butteryness. In the mouth there was a tiny touch of oak, crisp acidity and, again, apricot and pineapple and very very slight madeirisation. Medium long finish and a rich, almost creamy, mouth feel. Had this with Lobster Thermidor with good results. I would suspect this wine will last for a very long time.

Tasted at the winery and poured by the wine maker. Very lucky. Beautiful wine. Subtle oak with a beautiful balance that really surprised me. The oak was just barely there but was just enough to add to rather than overwhelm the fruit.

Outstanding QPR! And, a 9 year old Aussie Chard, to boot! I would not have thought it possible. Thanks, Jon!

Corked and oxidized... the works. Replaced at cellar door.
