  • Day 1, a little soft and lacking energy, almost cloying, but enjoyable with a chill. Day 2, much lighter on its feet, with improved cut and some of Keith's oyster shells. Quite nice, with a pleasantly juicy squirt of intensity on the midpalate. It seems funny to speak of cellaring falanghina, but if I had more of this I'd be inclined to wait at least a year before opening another bottle.

  • You just can't give this wine enough air. Last vintage it was the week-old leftovers that finally strutted their stuff. This time I found the leftovers in the fridge after well over a month and the wine is stupendous. From a pure, light-bodied picnic white on day one to a master class in minerality. This wine is so oceanic that it's like Kramer's cologne that makes you smell like the beach. It's hard to believe the juice did not literally trickle through beach sand and oyster shells.
