  First of 3 bottles.
  Cork in excellent condition and good fill level.
  the hue was appropriate for a 30 year old Pinot Noir.
  Fairly deep hue with some shift towards an aged character.
  Nose dominated by plum and strong earthy notes.
  Fully mature and possibly a few years past its peak but still drinking nicely.
  The balance is quite nice, but the texture and length and on the downward side.
