  • I remain committed to the Guy Moreau cuvee being an excellent example of what a classic Chablis wine should both smell, taste and feel like, albeit I suspect you can find comparables at a lower price point.
The nose IMO tended to be the weakest aspect with this wine, it's clean in the sense of straight forward minerals, some schist, lemon peel, and a soapyness, hence being clean. On the palate is where this wine starts to shine, 40 plus year old vines yield great stone essence, followed by typical lemon, a hint of apple, and an even slightly less hint of honey, which gives this wine the mouthfeel you look for with Chardonnay.
I am certain this wine will develop more notes over time, the structure is there, I would give this a few more years to develop.
