  • my last bottle and this did not disappoint. medium garnet with slight bricking. rose and cherry on the nose. on the palate the wine is simply lovely with beautiful cherry fruit along with some licorice, spice, and balsamic notes. the tannins have integrated nicely and there is a wonderful balance between the fruit, acidity, and tannins. simply put, a pleasure to drink. hard to believe this is a normale. there is great depth of fruit and nice complexity. not as evolved as my last bottle (a good tight cork?) and could last for many more years. cellared since purchase.

  • Found this one of a kind bottle in the cellar. Was surprised by its quality. Nothing very complex, but a good, clean Barolo that we drank over three days. Dark cherry flavors with a bit of spicy earthiness. Nice long finish.

  • Probably the value wine of my cellar. $25 and never disappoints. Nothing complicated, just dusty cherries, a little tannin, perfect balance.

  • Medium ruby hinting toward garnet, perfumed tar and roses nose with spicy black cherry, menthol, and licorice, spicy red fruit on the attack with layers of red and black fruits, juicy acidity, mild (for a Barolo) tannins and dried herbs, finishes with sweet but delicate berry fruit with hints of fig, black cherry, cherry powder, orange peel and bergamot

Note: In a fully mature place but still may have some surprises for those venturous sorts willing to wait

  • drinking like a well aged Barolo. clear rim with some slight bricking colors along with the rose. slight raisiny nose to wine but also redolent of tar and smoky gaminess. nice elegant frame - medium bodied but with still present structure and tannins. nice floral finish with irony notes. drink up soon.
