Drank last nite at Friedmans. Aromas of tar and violets. Some black cherry on the palate, tannins mostly resolved, good acidity, and fairly long finish. A bit on the over-aged side, but still very pleasant

Surprisingly grippy tannins for a 20 year old wine. Still seemed fresh and young with very few oxidized flavors. Not super complex, but enjoyable with a nice nose.

Surprisingly young. Fine sediment, mostly red color. Aromas and flavors of flowers, red fruit, and burnt earth. Still plenty of primary fruit, tannin is still present, not a lot of acid. Not terribly complex, but fairly delicious. Given the price point, this is punching above its weight 18 years after the vintage.

Quite surprised with this wine, very strong for the price point. Beautiful aromas of violets, tar, pine, black cherry. The palate is quite approachable with savory berry tampenade flavors, supple tannins, and supporting acidity. An absolutely beautiful value Barolo from a great vintage. I need to own more of this type of wine.

Forgot about these in the basement. Too bad. Well past its prime and barely drinkable. Very brown edges, simple jammy flavor. May use the remaining bottles for cooking.
