Tasted like a young northern Rhine. Thought it must be Syrah or maybe. Garnacha. Surprised to learn mostly Tempranillo. Not what I'm looking for in a rioja. BBR tasting.

From 1945 vines. Concentrated, sweetish heavy fruit aromas, black cherries and figs. Animal notes. Relatively low tannins, lots of fruit, some earthy hints and good acidity to balance. Really like this, second only to the 2005 Ygay.

Modern and silky smooth, rounded tannins, coffee mocha black fruit. Well made, but also on the boring side. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Ruby red. Nose of coffee and algae, very green. Full-bodied, with powerful acidity and tannins and a fantastic finish.
