  • Bottle maybe a bit oxydized.
Light straw yellow, with very light golden reflex. Crystalline and consistent.
Intense smell, medium complex and fine. INTENSE BOISè, too much covering some fruity (agrumes) and mineral. A bit of beewax.
Dry, alcoholic (13,5%9 and med. rounded. Good acidity and LOOOONG mineral finish Body: 6+
Intense, very persistent and fine. Equilibrated.
The wood is overwhelming...but could be a bit of oxydation. Passed its peak anyway.

  • At first whiff - i.e the sniffy-sniff - this is like pulsing through the snow to an old food cellar mid winter, opening the door, walking down a few steps and then stealing an apple out of the big bin in the corner, cutting it open with your pocket knife: aromas of oily fruit or beeswax, followed by wafts of dried apple mixing with an aromatic sweetness that fresh (green) apples never come close to.
La bouche: a layer of butter: medium finish which ends on notes that the domaine would call terroir driven minerality and which I feel to be petroleumlike. A very good wine.

  • From half a bottle in a restaurant. This was drinking very well. Full bodied yet light on its feet with very nice freshness. No formal notes, but we enjoyed it and was very versatile as it paired with multiple foods.
