Nice flavor up front; strong-ish tannins; above average complexity, nice finish. Would not necessarily drink it on its own, but great with food. Just the right amount of fruit, which is to day, fruity but not sweet. Not "fruit forward," which seems like a euphemism for sweet.

Quite different from the Crianza and Monteviejo, this Reserva has more aggressive oak on the nose and palate. I would not recommend this for people who like the more elegant Rioja Alavesas, this bottling is definitely a bit more modern and oak-laden. The appeal for most people, however, will be undeniable. Wow!

This blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano lends great depth with aromas of blackberry licqueur, cherry, Indian spice and a thread of cedar. Built with a backbone of firm tannins and acidity, this red offers unequivocal balance, with mocha and leather emerging on the palate.

Bright cherry-berry flavors and light tannins make for a flavorful and well-balanced wine.
