  • Wow. Almost 27 years young. Great wine. A light/medium bodied wine to start with (especially in 93), this wine has evolved into a special place of lightness, balance, grace and elegance. A slight slight hint of savory and garrigue on the nose quickly gives way to wild flowers and fruit before hitting the palate with a perfectly balanced wine of fruit, earth, spice and sunny meadow. Oh and did I mention it was perfectly balanced?

This is what great old mature burgundy is all about. From a cold and rainy 93, these two have created something absolutely special. And as well as it drank on its own, with food it was just as superb.

  • Another cellar "surprise" . I expected this to be DOA but instead it was GREAT! Still light, lively, balanced, expressive, lightening up but really solid. Roses and flowers on the nose, on the palate balanced with notes of fruit and a hint of savory (really, just a hint), a nice smooth finish. If anyone else still has a bottle I would say RUN to your cellar and drink this up but after several hours of being opened it was still singing sweetly. Well stored and worth the wait. NICE.

  • Mostly all secondaries, a little fruit and lots of burgundy funk. Paired really well with sashimi/sushi dinner - especially the toro
