Dinner with Edmund and Shuming (Edmund and Shuming's place @ the Cornwall): Sauterne-like gold in colour. Elsa and I found this to be real gem of a wine. The nose opened with a little layering of butter, sweet honey and nectar, fresh cut flowers, white plums and then a touch of grass, a little muskiness and an undertone of chalky mineral. Complex and lovely. The palate was superbly balanced, sweet and round with good weight, yet with classic Faiveley poise in its clean acid. Really nice, round flavours of lemon- butter, honeydew and more sappy white fruit at the very decently lengthy finish rounded the wine off.
