Yes, it is a tad sweet. But this being the only comment, I can highly recommend this wine.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry, blackberry and plum. It tastes like cherry, blackberry and vanilla. The body is medium. The wine has oily texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Aromas of dark fruit (plentiful), and still some oaky aromas in the 06 we had last night (with pork chops, squash/parmesan, penne/pesto). Improves greatly in the glass, during the meal, suggesting that if you want to drink this wine early, you should consider decanting it. Very elegant, and long. And, judging from our experience with the Ciabot du Re, it will shed all the vanilla and roast aromas, and reveal a balanced and fresh fruity barbera. http://bit.ly/oJ2LLK

Powerful Barbera but wellmade and balanced. Deep kirsch like fruit. A little young and agressive a start but it gets a lot better with decanting. Beatiful sharp and precise acid packed in by the thick fruit. After some time a little creamy french oak and vanilla pops out. Powerful, thick and fresh at the same time. Well done Revello.
ps. It was beatiful and almost better at day 2, so it problaby has a bit of life ahead of it.

Smooth Barbera. Dark fruit and hints of creamy oak. All the ingredients are more settled now.
