  • Pale garnet. Pretty fruit on nose with stemmy undertones and whisper of forest loan and dried mushroom. Juicy mouthful of nicely balanced fruit - strawberry and cranberry light on its feet with mild tannins. Medium finish will last few more years for sure.

  • Med to deep ruby, red fruit nose, alcohol and some spice. Sharp acid on palate, lack conc, more oak surfaced, tannin quite soft, more like a 1er cru but given the vintage, this is so much you can hope for?

  • I opened this without any expectations, OK it's Grand Cru but 2007 is far from a grand vintage. Medium red colour. Nose: quite soft, warm oak. So the taste was a surprise, crystalline red fruit, intense, racy acidity - yes this is Grand Cru concentration.

Enjoyable, quite approachable but also complex, intellectually interesting.

This is worth drinking now, but it also clearly has ageing potential. It will get better.

If I had another bottle I'd keep it until 2020+

    Sealed with cork. 13.5% alcohol.

  • Drunk alongside the '07 Fourneaux, this was darker in fruit profile, earthier, and generally much more complex on the nose. But where the terroir hierarchy really shows through is the palate, which has wonderful concentration on a medium-bodied frame and is just a picture of elegant silky texture and finesse. The tannins are firmer than the Savigny, and I'm sure this will age wonderfully but be quite accessible with mid-term age. Exciting wine, and my first Latricieres.

  • Tasted at the domaine with Patrick. Med red. More oak present here. Very smooth and easy in the mouth.
