Krotida Wine Gang Tasting, 2007 Tour de France white wine tasting (Jerar restaurant): The grapes come from Pernard Vergelesses and Aloxe – Corton, 10-50yo, fermented in oak, 30% new, lees stirring till July, bottled after 12 months of aging Needs time to clear off the cheesy smell, the fruit is way in the back, rather muted altogether But in the palate, the wine shows density, structure, high acidity, fine oak frame, nutty, buttery, ripe fruit, tight, austere, really long finish. Outstanding quality, it just needs some time to breathe

Corton Charlemagne power, from a balanced producer. CC is not may favorite white Burg. But is interesting to drink on occasion. Rich, structured and contemplative.

Still fresh and vibrant - even feeling a bit on the young side! Had it with food where its acidic and mineral backbone really shone. Ample fruit, citrus, white flowers With a great balance. Lovely.

Was showing advancement but still a great drink. The 2000 we had side by side and that was less advanced

2007 Corton-Charlemange horizontal (Or alternate title: It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.) (Mi casa): Medium dark gold, crystal clear; Nose of burnt sugar, lactic acid; med. sharp body with flavors of straw, stonefruit, lemon. Clipped finish. Far too advanced. Probably should consider this flawed as well.
