Given the vintage, I should have drank it younger, but not oxidized in any way. Just a nice old Burg, showing typical Corton flavor profile. Shows a touch of lack of acidity, expected from this hot vintage.

Started as a beautiful wine -- all one wants a Corton to be with the quality, structure, and austerity of Rapet. However, the color was a bit off when we opened the bottle. Hard to tell if it was due to age or oxidation. Sadly, it was oxidation. Gorgeous wine -- but within 15 minutes, clear it was slightly oxidized.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #077; Round the Corton hill in Burgundy (By BD): Mostly yellow fruits in the bouquet. On the palate the pleasant sweet start is evident, followed by pleasant soft acidity, tropical fruits, apple syrup and some good bitterness. Overall a beautiful and complex wine. Ready now, no hurry.

Still tasting fresh and vibrant, especially considering the vintage.
