  • Decanted for 2 hours... Hard to distinguish this apart from a Cali Cab. Good QPR... can't complain... It's well made for the price.. fair concentration... open.. balanced.. drinking well.. with integrated tannins... decent finish.. Dark chocolate, concentrated black cherry, black plum, pencil lead, dusty tobacco... paired well with marinated flat iron steak... This was totally made in Napa, right? ;) Without being overly analytical, it's a well made wine.. drink with confidence... it drinks well above it's price point...

  • color: dark purple; nose: oak and cherry in balance; taste: initial impression of dark fruit jam, blackberry mid-palate, smooth and spicy licorice finish, backed by firm (but not sour) tannins of short-to-medium duration; overall: tasty package from start to finish with interest and no holes at every stage, good pairing with broiled flank steak, decent QPR ($17 at Morris Miller in NW DC) that would be a steal at $15 or less, would buy again and happily serve to company

  • Initial notes: Very nice nose of fruit and oak; on the palate, I taste tart plums; rough finish. May improve with age - but its not there now.

  • Needs a good decant. Lots of dark berried fruit.

  • color: eggplant purple with a little tinge of red leather; nose: lots of oak; taste: medium mouthfeel, transitions to silky red fruit on mid-palate, tasty finish of black licorice with medium-length, gum-sucking tannins; overall: good complete package but seems a little one-dimensional and too oaky, not a steal at the price ($17/bottle at Morris Miller in NW DC) -- Geyser Peak and Kirkland cabs are as good or better and less expensive
