Labeled as 13% abv. Purchased from Burgundy Wine Company. In a nice drinking window. Fairly typical color and semi-opaque. It had been chilled and required some swirling to capture a perfumed aroma of cherries and raspberries. I like the texture and slight spiciness when held in the mouth for a moment. I had it with chicken but think it would also pair nicely with rabbit or duck in a fruit sauce (not orange sauce but cherries or berries.) It also was pretty nice with Dubliner cheese (similar to Cheddar.) This didn't strike me as a complex wine but was very satisfying as an easy sipper or food wine. I think it's a wine that very few could find objectionable.

13% abv. Nearly opaque purple in a regular pour but shows some transparency as the glass drains. This is in a very mellow drinking window--integrated and delightful. It has some bing cherry notes but also some plummy notes. The wine is a good advertisement for the possible charms of lower-tiered Burgundies.

Earthy nose with red fruit coming through. Excellent balance with rasberry fruit. Nice long finish.

Light and elegant with good earth tones, plenty of acidity and some spice. A bit weak on the finish.
