Similar to previous bottle (2016) — Mellow, caramel-tinged sous-bois, soft and gentle. Smooth and very drinkable. Now with a little extra sweet fruit giving the suggestion of a little padding ***

This has really come on over the last six years. No longer over-oaked and dry. Mellow, caramel-tinged sous-bois, soft and gentle. Not complex but smooth and very drinkable. ***

Reasonably light cherry red. Quite lifted and oaky on the nose. Similar on palate - a little too oaked for the fruit and the texture at the moment, quite drying beofre the acidity on the finish kicks in. Left overnight this has meloowed a little, but it still feels a little oaky for its own good - hasn't quite got the weight of fruit to cover it at the moment, leaving the mid-palate feeling a little dilute. Will probably be ok, but come back in a year or two I think. **

this was lovely. lush, ripe and modern but a silky mouthful for the level. framboise and and red fruits all laid out on a platter balanced with a savoury acidity and minerality. nz pinot learn this lesson! good stuff.

Light red, mahoganey edge. Herb and red fruit. Light, mature, OK.
