  • Oyster shell,, brine, lemon pith, petrol, and subtle white florals on the nose. Linear and focused, more compact than the 04 Polish Hill drunk a week or so later. More citrus pith, grapefruit, and tarragon as the non geologic palate components. Overall this is much more about acid and rocks than fruit. Salty, savory and "steely" on the palate, with a simultaneously very clean yet very long finish. Great with Berkshire pork chops, pan gravy and brussel sprouts.

At peak and I doubt it wil improve. This seems to be unsurprisingly a little further along the curve than the Polish Hill. Outstanding.

  • Had with self caught crayfish and abalone; a match made in heaven! Drinking beautifully now, crisp and full flavoured, with a deep golden colour

  • Stelvin. Pop and pour.

Bright and fresh, and developing more secondary notes. since the last bottle. The petrol is front and center but it retains freshness and clarity with a cool combination of flavor density without losing focus or lift. On the palate, some lime zest, citrus pith, bright acidity and a mineral almost oyster shell like finish. Mouthwatering, and certainly more on the mineral and savory side of the spectrum than fruit. I love this style and this wine is still in the pocket for me. Better a little cooler than cellar temp for me. Lovely and thought provoking, but it has lost a touch of the cut and brightness from the last bottle. Stunning value. 91

  • Still bright and fresh as a daisy. Petrol, kaffir lime, citrus pith, seashells, and some cool herbal stuff going on. Mouthwateringly fresh, with great cut, and laser like focus. This has swung into full on secondary complexity witout losing any of its youthful verve. Deep and pure, incredibly focused and flat out delicious. This is world class wine, and my best bottle yet. I am very happy that I am only halfway through my stash of this. I don;t know if this is just perfect bottle of this, but I feel like I caught this wine in a great great place. At a beautiful peak and I have no fear for the near future. Why do I not buy a case of this every year? Outstanding! 93 pts

  • Stelvin closure.

This was very good on opening, but two weeks in the fridge has led to some interesting developments... Fast forward to Day 16 after opening. Still impressively fresh . Loads of seashells, petrol, lemon-lime pith, and white flowers. Fresh , clean and very focused. Clean and crisp, with great but unobtrusive acidity, almost like drinking cold mineral water. Some more lemon-lime and tons of seashells on the very long finish. Very Cuvee Frederic Emile in style, it has that amount of clarity. Mouthwatering, clean, and complicated, this is beautiful stuff. Very fresh and in no fear of a downward slide any time soon. 92pts
