Some stems on the nose. Perfumed with sandalwood and lavender.
On the palate both light and dense at the same time. Ripe strawberries and brown spices. Lots of acid and do i detect some red apple peel. This last note had me leaning Copain Kiser.

Unfortunately my last bottle! And so I am upgrading my score,,as I believe in my rather ltd tasting of California'n Pinot's that this Vigneron is consistently top of the tops for Russian River Pinot and certainly on par with some of the best Burgundy can produce. Lovely juice.

Nose - funky, stinky sweet fruit, sweet rot/ripe. It's a fine line and when you do it right-wicked! Mouth - sour, sweet, savory all intermixed, long finish, nice framing tannins. Really a lovely wine.

Popped and poured and then consumed over 2-3 hours. Medium dark red; rather subdued nose of spice, herbs, and dark fruits. Quite full on the palate where it much more about complexity and spice, forest floor, sandalwood, and dark fruits with an intense finish. There is a hint of RRV velvet in the finish which may suggest this will smooth out with more time but at this point quite an intense wine at age 6.
