Sweet redcurrant and raspberry fruit, hint of sour cherries, some earthy notes, fading tawny colour reveals the age, but there's still plenty of fresh acidity to stand up to many foods. Overall, highly enjoyable, but like much cru Burgundy, too expensive for the enjoyment delivered.

Translucent ruby, just starting to turn brick at the edges. Charming bouquet of raspberries, sweet Pinot fruit, herbs, earthy and just a hint of butterscotch. Silky smooth palate, round, firm, with grip still, not at all faded. Medium-bodied and a medium finish which lingers. For this vintage, a good showing.

Very enjoyable on a Saturday night with our simple grilled dinner. Cherries and earth on the nose, and sour cherries, red raspberries, spices, and earth on the palate. Pleasant tannins and acidity -- this is a food wine.
