Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Slightly lifted cherry, raspberry and strawberry jam nose. Sweet fruit impression reminding me of Cali Pinot. Some violets and a touch of wood.
Medium bodied ripe fruit palate with some tannic bite. Ripe red fruits and salt liquorice. Some heat in the aftertaste. Straightforward and lacking any complexity one wishes to see in a GC Bourgogne. Tight and thin. The palate isn't speaking the same language as the nose.
Lackluster and underwhelming - especially when one considers the prestige and the price. If I had any of these I'd bury them in the cellar and cross my fingers.
