Deep vibrant ruby. Broad layered palate, expansive mouthfeel with earth, smoke, black cherry, small dark fruit notes. Concentrated elegant power, refined texture framed by firm, yet supple tannin, bright elevating acidity with a long, lingering finish. .

Additional cellar potential 10+ years. At the occasion of 30 years wedding anniversary, which has also 10+ years left ;-). 4 bottles left.

Deep color. The nose shows aromas of red berries, flowers, earth, minerals and spice. This is medium full bodied on the palate with very good concentration but a slight lack of class. A bit forward. The medium plus length finish features good acid cut.

Clos Vougeot horizontal: 33 wines from the 2013 vintage (Fine+Rare Wine London): Score higher if you like oak. Yes, this has sap and richness. I could tell that there is structure, too. But why so much oak? Will the fruit be able to stand up to it over time? I am really not too certain.

Lowish nose, fresh fruity intensity with red and black fruits. Again, good, but underwhelmed by JP's '13's.
