Fantastic mature burgundy. From a well stored bottle, vibrant plum and raspberry fruit in perfect harmony with a nice line of acidity that keeps the wine fresh. Good development of soft spices, mushroom, and leaves. Delicious

Drinking beautifully with still plenty of fruit. Flavour is in the tertiary spectrum with leather and anise and Chinese spice. All supported by lively acidity.

Cork came out easily and the immediate nose was of typical barnyard Burgundy. After much swirling the barnyard more or less blows off, color is definitely orange tinted. Still some very good red fruit with a subtle long finish of spice and maybe some cloves. Keeps getting better with air. Complex, fully mature Burgundy that has probably peaked but a very nice bottle to enjoy on a chilly evening.

Don’t love the producer generally but this 90 Echez was fab. Superbly balanced acidity, great fruit and tertiary expression and a very long finish.

From same case as last bottle, this time a bit sweeter and more liqueur like. 92-93
