A very yeasty nose with hints of fruit, cherry. Spicy, almost peppery flavor with light fruit taste. Almost too thin for my taste, but the peppery flavor lingers a bit. Not bad, but not special. Odd, bright color looks almost neon red in the glass.

I kind of liked this spicy rustic style. They made something pretty unique, but still left enough of the characteristic Pinot flavors for us to recognize. Pretty dark color. The nose is kind of a combination of country barnyard, and seaside aromas, with some strawberry and cherry on the background. The palate is sharp and focused, I can see how some would not like this. It is not simple, and thin, but creamy and more than medium bodied. There is spicy, ripe fruit, mostly cherry and strawberry. The alcohol, only 12.5%, minimal tannins, and oak all work together. Nothing from the old world tastes like this, nor should it.

This was "OK" Interesting to note that the color had a golden brown tint. I bought and opened this on the same day. Had a meaty taste.

Nice earthy nose. Good balance and some finish. Slightly thin but pretty enjoyable overall.
