Pouring a dark ruby, this is a higher-toned but not lightweight Pinot, with ruby red grapefruit and cranberry flavors, along with a hint of watermelon Jolly Rancher. The acidity is still zingy at 5+ years, and you could easily drink this for another few years, although I doubt it will develop more complexity than the current secondary forest floor notes, which are lovely.
I wish there were more Pinots like this at $10 (Binny's!); it's authentic, tasty, and varietally correct. The fact a producer as big as Brancott is able to make such a good wine at such volume is impressive. This is the sort of thing I'd gladly drink a couple of times a week.

Clear mid red. Rich, bright nose, plenty of fruit and floral notes. Really great taste - balanced and fragrant, good pure fruit, avoiding the tartness poorer quality pinots suffer. Blackcurrant, cherry, a little spice. Truly excellent value. [Screwcap; 13% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at £8]

Redskin lollies, pretty much raspberry for those who don't know them. A little mulch and spice and grainy tannin. Not much nose or finish but at $10 in Oz a veritable bargain. Enough pinosity to scratch the itch. Extra point for enjoyable drinkability..

The aromas and flavors match showing red cherry, strawberry and a hint of earth. Light-bodied, medium acidity, very light tannins. Drink now.
