Really good. Even better than the bottle I reviewed back in February 2017. All that that bottle was, just a bit amped up. The nose is rich, full of dark cherries. Grippy tannins, soft red fruit, real drive on the finish, including a fresh acidity that seemingly defies the age of the wine. This is in no way over the hill, to the contrary I would say at its peak.

Loved it! Rich fruit, both on the nose and on the palate, dominated by cherries. Nose is perhaps a bit one dimensional at first (coming in to its own after about 2,5 h decant), but the palate is very nice. The fruit perfectly balanced by nice grippy tannins, with everything smooth and in perfect harmony. A joy to drink.
Decanted shortly before drinking. Lovely Barolo, seemingly ready now, with expansive dusty nose of strawberries and darker fruits. Good body and sweetness, coped very well with an Espelette pepper spiced beef stew.

Good classic Barolo, attractive sweetness on the nose, roses, fruit, tar and nuts, hint of liquorice/aniseed; reassuringly dry on the palate, lovely sober tannins; good length.
