Lunch with Jeremy Parzen (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria, NYC): [I brought this down to the City along with the 89 Produttori. Somehow this one fared much better. Pop & pour.] Tight at first, but opening beautifully. Needed at least an hour of air to show itself. An excellent wine.

Shy on the nose at first but opened a bit after 2 hours. Mature dark fruit, roses, sweet oak. Creamy and well balanced.

Gala Dinner at La Festa del Piemonte (The Pool Restaurant, NYC): [Brought by Jeremy & Anny of Morrell. Double-decanted around 1pm.] Earthy, balanced, complex. Probably at its peak.

Drank at Carbone. Drinking well, a bit of rust mixed with ripe dark fruit.
