Aroma: spicy honeyed apricot and golden delicious jump from the glass. Palate: aromatic, spicy and honeyed pineapple and cantaloupe. Crisp and fully dry. Some wet stone in the background. Excellent complexity, structure and length.

Layers of tropical fruit and citrus wrapped around a core of tremendous minerality. Dry, but not austere. As good as it was at first, it became even better with an hour or so of air. This is fantastic now and should keep improving with time.

(Mostly) Old Alzinger at Trestle (Trestle on Tenth, NYC): Still comes across incredibly primary and youthful, there's a remarkable freshness and sense of juiciness to the pale citrus and pear fruit flavours with a vivid stony mineral base beneath the fruit. With air it becomes more herbal and floral on the nose as a trace of sulfur blows off, and it's incredibly precise and vibrant on the palate with a powerful acid spine keeping it very light.

A wonderful stony and mineral-y wine. Great balance and structure -- plenty of acidity but not too steely. Citrus fruits, kaffir lime, grains, touch of cantaloup, a little musk, and some lanolin in the background. Terrific with food but loved the glass on its own the following day.

Peach, citrus, and tropical fruit on the nose. Dry with lots of minerals and hints of melon and peach on the palate. Long finish.
