Dark fruit (cherry, plum?), a bit of alcohol, slight chocolate, spice. Good acidity. Alcohol a bit too pronounced for my taste - probably not my style.

Opened it and it smelled exactly like tomato paste (absolutely nothing like wine)…tasted the same way. Gave it a few hours and it got a tiny bit better. Sealed up and opened again 4 days later…halfway to a wine. Opened again 4 more days later, and it was a traditional aged Amarone. I couldn't believe it. Fun journey, but too much work to drink an average traditional amarone.

Bottle was way past it's drinking window. Wine was cloudy with rust color throughout. Too old to drink.
