From 375, this is well into tertiary notes with raisin, cranberry, autumn leaves, prune, and leather, with the high alcohol barely showing. It had heavy sedimentation; decant or pour carefully. It's a beautifully aged wine that is still aging gracefully; if that is to your taste it's a good time to open these.

From 375. Raisin and camphor on the nose. On the palate, raisin, prune, leather, and earth, with no noticeable tannins and good acidity on the medium to long finish. I would say this is approaching the end of its peak drinking period in half bottles, but it will probably hold for five more years in the 750 mL size. Good value at $30/half bottle.

Purple. Tobacco, cedar, menthol, that carries over into the palate. Deep dark fruit. Long finish with plum and prune notes at the end of the finish.fully ready to go. Rarely drink Amarone, but this was interesting and enjoyable. Went well with white Pizza.

91 pts Day 1. The tannins/alcohol hit me harder tonight than prior outings, making thus feel somewhat tight this time around. Will check back tomorrow. Out of a 375ml. Update Day 2: better, smoother on the mid-palate and finish. Maybe 92 pts on the second day.

Nice mature amarone. Still fruity in the nose. Tannins and acids are fine.
