Brian's Birthday Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): This had a really pretty nose, with a blush of sweet strawberries and raspberries, and a touch of florals, steely mineral and sweet spices. Very feminine and attractive. The palate had a real sense of youthful energy and sweetness to it, with ripe, sweet notes of red cherries and berries lined with a good touch of spice, and then a peek of slightly woody tannins and some decent acidity pulling it away into a longish finish. A bit soft and simple for a Grand Cru, but really quite pleasant.

Black and red fruits. Forest earth. Palate has developed now, and has great depth of material. Balanced, good intensity and weight. Looked just as good when finishing off the bottle the following day also.

What a great wine...wish I had more. Drinking in a perfect window right now. Similar to other notes below, but I thought should have been rated a little higher. Decanted for 30 minutes prior to drinking.

Tasted tight and dry. Tannic and closed. Tried amidst a tasting of random wines and this one lacks maturity, layers and flavor. Over the course of 3 hours it finally released a little and allowed me to enjoy some mineral and fruit components that suggest the future is bright for this wine. I am so excited to have another bottle of it to try in 5 years.

Delicate aromas of blue and red fruits and forest and earth. Palate starts off light to medium weighted, but after some time seems to put on more weight. Elegantly shaped, with mild tannins and well balanced acidity. The savoury notes are attractive and offer lovely depth. In fact, the next day, it seemed darker and just as refined.
