Well, my last bottle, and patience was rewarded. This is one of the best aliagnicos that I've had, or that I remember. I'll certainly seek it out again. This wine at this stage shows bricking and that damp earth minerality on the nose, medium eye almost. Tannins resolved and almost sweet with enough grip to keep things together. Almost reminds me of aged Barbaresco or an aging Pinot in a way. Must not have a lot of intrusive wood. Very pleasant, a lot of sediment, a pleasure down to the last grainy drop.

Did not leave a note previously, I have held this bottle for number of years. Opened February of this year? Advanced notes of cranberries, dark cherries, dustiness, deep rich backbone. Cool wine, definitely mineral from volcanic soils or something. Age this wine! It is just starting to come into its own. Think dark grilled meats.

Wow. Best AdV I've had. Started off with earthy and woodsy funk on the nose, intermixed with cedar and blackberry. Let this stand open, but topped for about 30 minutes and then enjoyed it for a good five hours. Dark purple and clear. Opened up with espresso, wet clay and grape-soda nose, still some funk as well. Compact tannins, very soft on the palate. Dark and rich fruit, grilled meat flavors. Long finish with a velvet texture and rich dark roux notes and a juicy tang. Delicious and kept strong for hours. Perfect pairing with filets w/ gremolata, olive-oil mashed potatoes, fava bean pudding and pecorino fresco/grilled radicchio salad.

Intense tannins woven with lots of dark fruit and leather. This was my only bottle, but would.ve been better to wait. Great promise for the future!
