Beautiful wine. Notes of deep red and blue fruit; Asian spice; forest floor;... it's all there. A little bit of funk as well, but the fruit and mineral characteristics really show on the palate. Nicely crafted bottle; something to muse over. Will hold my other two a few more years.

Un peu de notes tertiaires au nez qu'on retrouve beaucoup moins en bouche. Il reste encore un peu de fruit mais on est surtout sur les arômes de terre. La longueur est moindre qu'attendu donc à mon avis, ce vin est à point et l'attendre davantage n'apporterait pas plus.

Ouvert 4 heures d'avance mais bouchon replacé. Un nez chambollesque, très ouvert, floral au début puis sur le cassis et les épices. En bouche, ce vin est à point: l'équilibre entre la minéralité, un peu d'arômes primaires de cassis et les arômes tertiaires de sous-bois. Une pointe d'épices douces. Une très belle longueur.

Deepish garnet color. Nose offers up spice, coffee, meat, sous boise. Lovely rich ripe fruit but with super balance of mineral acidity and soft silky tannins. Complete from front to back. Prolonged finish. A great GC.

Ruby garnet color. Funky nose at first, but that blew off quickly. Red fruit and slight blue fruit on the nose with hints of spice. Medium+ body, very smooth with a long finish. Drinks very well.

Big nose offering up ripe rich red fruits, spice, game and sous bois. Huge palate full of explosive rich fruit, intense minerality, amazing middle palate and very, very long intense finish. Delicious GC.

Meaty and vibrant with underlying funk; huge palate of dried plum and cassis, HUGE. Hints of blood iron and meat juice. Very long and complexity just peeking through. Great future.

Meaty, plum infused pinot flavors that show impressive intensity on the nose and palate. Touch of cassis and dried red currant with black cherry. This opens up with more violet, refined flavors. Relatively primary though with no lose of energy or detail. Lots of potential still.

Still youthful looking. On the nose, a lot of cassis at first, then sweet red fruit, coulis de framboise, rose petal, quite floral, still fresh. On the palate, medium plus acidity, structured. Medium plus bodied. Tannin prominent, but ripe. Should hold up nicely for another decade or so.

Sweet cherries and violets and immense strawberries and whipped cream on the nose. Strawberries and Whipped cream, silky and elegant and seamless. Its a beautiful wine to drink.

Burgundy 2011 Day 4: The Big Dinner aka Singapore Night in Burgundy (Baubigny): A nice wine, but not quite up to the standards I have had with other vinatges of the Domaine's Mazoyères. Still though, it was a very nice wine. The nose started with a bit of reductiveness, but with some air, it became positively pretty, with sweet scents of strawberry compote and violets wed to loamy, earthy aromas and sprigs of herb. The palate was extremely silky on the attack, with red fruited Gevrey flavours of strawberries and cream, raspberries and some cooler blueberry fruit flavours. Clean, elegant and velvety across the mid-palate and blessed with a lovely freshness, it finished with a nice roundness, showing more red fruit laced with a lick of mineral. It had quite a bit of depth in spite of the vintage, but when blind, we all thought it was a top-notch 1er Cru rather than a Grand Cru.

Floral, delicate and smooth with candied fruit, coffee beans, cinnamon and brown sugar. Better length than his 07 Charmes on the side. Lovely.

United Cellars Grand Cru Pinot Noir Tasting & Masterclass Series (Angel and Ash. Corner of Angel Place and Ash Street, Sydney CBD, New South Wales, Australia.): Better nose of the first four, pinot nose, cherries abundant. Nice light/ medium mouthfeel, enjoyable fruit. Silky mouthfeel. Very well done. Well balanced and integrated. Dry woody finish.

World Wine Symposium 2013 - Kevin and Kelly's excellent adventure; 11/6/2013-11/14/2013 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): IMO, some of the 07s lack concentration/mid palate. Delicate and elegant but very harmonious. Lovely blue fruits, a hint of smoke and flowers. Drinking beautifully already. Very pretty wine.
